About the Artist:
Sunaina (@pawsmyart_) is an artist who has expressed her creativity through multiple media drawing inspiration from nature and it's beautiful creations all around us. This is reflected aptly by her relief art creations which bring to life the vivid colours and textures that nature has crafted.
Her romance with colors started 12 years ago when she embarked on the adventure of relief art and oil painting. A self taught artist, she has honed her skills over the years to compile a vast portfolio encompassing different nuances. She has held exhibitions showcasing her work and conducted online and in person training sessions to share her creativity and techniques honed over the years with those willing to embark on artistic adventure of a lifetime
About Relief Art:
RELIEF PAINTINGS are created by applying multiple layers each with varied depth to give a three dimensional effect. Motifs are then overlaid and painting is finished with a suitable medium to bring out strikingly vivid creations.

- Prepping the board with base layer
- Trace the design
- Cone work to draw out the design
- Apply first layer of filling to bring out the relief
- Add finer details to the painting
- Carry out filling to raise another layer to build up on the relief
- Introduction to Coloring
- Coloring and shading
- Application onto the painting
- Finishing the painting
Essential materials (Shipped to Participants):
- Plyboard 9"*12*(6mm)
- Marble powder 1kg
- Yellow carbon paper 01
- Dhoti cloth
- Tracing of the design
- Practice sheet
Materials to be procured by the Participants:
- Fevicol (MR)1/2kg
- Transparent gift wrapping sheet - 1 no.
- Palette knife or butter knife
- Rubber bands
- Cello transparent tape
- Oil colors (student/artist)
- Kerosene/ linseed oil
- Flat brush size 2 - 2 nos.
- Round brush size 000 - 2 nos.
